About the Role
The Carpet Shoppe, Inc. (TCS) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT/Systems Analyst – Report Writer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technology systems while providing technical support, data management, and system optimization to help drive business operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and the ability to support reporting and data analysis needs. This position offers the opportunity to work across departments, improving IT processes and ensuring seamless technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration and IT Support
Provide technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime
Maintain and optimize system performance, including software updates, security patches, and routine maintenance
Set up and configure workstations, user accounts, and basic network settings
Conduct system testing and collaborate with programmers to resolve issues and errors
Data and Reporting Support
Assist in managing databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
Generate reports and dashboards from enterprise systems (e.g., RFMS, CRM) to support business decisions
Analyze IT system performance and recommend improvements to optimize operations
Network and Infrastructure Evaluation
Conduct structured assessments of network and IT infrastructure to identify cost-effective updates and enhancements
Assist in implementing IT solutions that improve efficiency and security
Support data backup and recovery processes and cybersecurity best practices
User Training and Documentation
Develop clear, user-friendly training materials, FAQs, and graphics to help employees navigate IT systems
Provide one-on-one training and ongoing IT support to employees
Communicate IT updates and best practices to ensure effective use of technology across departments
Vendor and Project Coordination
Work with vendors for IT equipment repairs, software updates, and service agreements
Assist with IT procurement, including tracking hardware and software inventory and managing user licenses
Support IT-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business needs
Additional Duties
Perform additional IT duties as needed to support the organization’s IT infrastructure and user needs
About You
Skills
Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
Experience with business systems (e.g., RFMS, CRM, Power BI) and reporting tools (preferred)
Proficiency in data analysis and structured system evaluation for cost-effective improvements
Basic understanding of IT security, data backup, and recovery procedures
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Experience:
2+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or database/reporting roles
Experience with RFMS, CRM, or cloud-based enterprise software is a plus
3+ years of experience in report writing, data analysis, or a related role
Location
We are only considering candidates located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Team members may have flexibility for remote or hybrid work depending on the position; however, general staff expectations require regular weekly work in the office, with occasional work in varied environments including server rooms and storage areas.
This position may require frequent travel offsite and between company locations for events, meetings, and training.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, at-will position typically requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, including time for events and extracurricular activities that support organizational goals.
The salary range for this role is $52,000–$85,000, based on market data and the organization’s compensation philosophy. Offers will fall within this range as required by applicable state laws and will vary based on location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience.
